What exactly is this sixth sense?
Because Wilma ter Horst has been in contact with her guides (some people call them entities or angels) for a long time, it was a logical choice to use this resource in addition to NLP techniques. Wilma likes to talk about her sixth sense, but is also often referred to as a medium or psychic. The latter is someone who has one or more paranormal gifts, such as clairaudience or clairvoyance. The word 'para' means 'beside' or 'beyond', so in this case, beyond the normal.

How does that work in practice?
We believe that everyone has a sixth sense, which we basically call intuition. However, a medium has developed this further and is – as in Wilma's case – able to make contact with your guides or sometimes directly with deceased persons if they themselves are able to do so.
However, it is important to note that in this form of communication, you receive the information you need to take the next step, and not (necessarily) what you want to hear. Opening yourself up to your guides means listening to what they have to say and acting on it.
In her work as a coach, Wilma tunes in to your guides through her own guide. They know what your soul desires and are not influenced by earthly matters such as time, regret, fear, anger, sadness, etc. This information provides a good starting point for determining whether the chosen course is also the closest to your soul's desire.
In addition to this part of the session, it is of course important to then translate the information into, for example, different behaviour. You must, of course, be able to do something with it. Here, Wilma uses different approaches depending on what you need at that moment. These are often elements from NLP or systemic work.
NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. This method teaches you how you perceive the reality around you. How you compare this with your programming in the form of, for example, beliefs. These beliefs lead to a feeling that drives certain behaviour. NLP gives you insight into how this process works for you and how you can actually change it, if desired.
The systemic part of coaching has its origins in the work of Bert Hellinger, who became best known for the phenomenon of family constellations. However, his research provides many more tools for understanding the impact of the early years of life on personal development. This perspective is particularly interesting in the context of coaching with the sixth sense, even if the family member or members in question have since passed away. In the system of origin, everyone counts, always, even if they are no longer alive.
